Cassava Bread Recipe

Enjoy delicious homemade cassava bread, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside — perfect to accompany your breakfast with your favorite protein.

Ingredients

     
  • 200 g of cassava/manioc/tapioca purée
  • 1 egg
  • 8 tbsp potato starch
  • 1 tsp grain-free gluten-free baking powder or baking soda
  • 1 tsp guar gum
  • Salt

Preparation

  • Boil the peeled cassava until soft, then mash it and add salt to taste.
  • Mix the dry ingredients and add them to the purée, kneading well.
  • Shape the dough into bread and bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 30 minutes or until a crust forms.
  • Note: We recommend serving this for breakfast with your preferred protein (chicken, turkey, fish, etc.) if you are not vegetarian.
