Ingredients
- 1 kg of yuca (cassava)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of ghee butter
- Ground cassava bread (casabe)
- Coconut oil
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt
Preparation
- Wash and peel the yuca.
- Boil it until tender, then drain well.
- Mash thoroughly until smooth, with no lumps remaining.
- Add the ghee butter, egg, and salt, and mix well.
- Incorporate the ground cassava bread (casabe) until you get a smooth, pliable dough.
- Take portions and shape them into sticks.
- Refrigerate before frying.
- Heat the coconut oil and fry until golden brown.
- Drain well.
- You can also bake or use an air fryer.
