Fried Yuca Sticks Recipe

Delight yourself with these delicious fried yuca sticks—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—perfect to enjoy anytime.

Ingredients

     
  • 1 kg of yuca (cassava)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of ghee butter
  • Ground cassava bread (casabe)
  • Coconut oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of salt

Preparation

  • Wash and peel the yuca.
  • Boil it until tender, then drain well.
  • Mash thoroughly until smooth, with no lumps remaining.
  • Add the ghee butter, egg, and salt, and mix well.
  • Incorporate the ground cassava bread (casabe) until you get a smooth, pliable dough.
  • Take portions and shape them into sticks.
  • Refrigerate before frying.
  • Heat the coconut oil and fry until golden brown.
  • Drain well.
  • You can also bake or use an air fryer.
  • Enjoy!
