Prepare delicious stuffed chayotes with crispy bacon and seasonings, baked to perfection.


Ingredients
- 4 chayotes
- 1 grated onion
- 1 crushed garlic clove
- 12 rings of leek
- 1 grated bell pepper
- 2 sweet peppers, finely chopped
- 4 strips of chopped bacon (you can also use serrano ham or lean ham)
- Salt to taste
- Cumin to taste
Preparation
- Cut the chayotes lengthwise and immerse them in boiling water.
- Once they are ready, remove the tough outer layer, as it has an unpleasant taste.
- Using a small spoon, scoop out the inside of the chayotes.
- In a pan, brown the bacon, then add the seasonings and sauté.
- Add the chopped chayota pieces and stir everything together.
- Season with cumin and salt to taste.
- Take the chayotes and stuff them with the mixture.
- Bake at 150°C (300°F) for 15 minutes.
