Tuna Salad Recipe

Prepare a delicious, colorful, and refreshing salad with a base of tomato, onion, and cucumber. Garnish it with little mounds of grated carrot and beetroot, and top it off with shredded tuna seasoned with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and olive oil.

Ingredients

     
  • 1 onion
  • 1 beetroot
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 glass jar of tuna
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Wash all the vegetables.
  • Slice the onion, tomato, and cucumber.
  • Grate the beetroot and carrot using the coarse side of the grater.
  • On a flat serving plate, arrange the slices of tomato, onion, and cucumber, spreading them out to form the base of the salad.
  • On top of the vegetable base, place 4 small mounds of grated carrot and beetroot, alternating them to form a colorful set of four little “islands.”
  • In the center, add the shredded tuna, previously seasoned with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Drizzle a bit of this dressing over the entire salad to enhance the flavor.
