Paleo Crackers Recipe

Prepare some delicious homemade crackers with spices, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect to enjoy at any time of the day.

Ingredients

     
  • 3 medium-sized green plantains, peeled
  • 120ml of clarified butter (almost half a stick), melted or coconut oil
  • ½ to ¾ teaspoon of sea salt
  • Natural spices (optional)

Preparation

     
  • Preheat the oven to 150°C and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
  • Process all the ingredients for a few minutes until a smooth dough forms that pulls away from the sides.
  • Divide the dough into two equal parts and place on the two trays.
  • Spread the dough onto the parchment paper and sprinkle with spices.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the trays from the oven and cut the cracker shapes with a knife or pizza cutter.
  • Return to the oven and bake for another 50 minutes or until they reach a nice golden color.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on a rack.
