Amino acids are organic molecules that form the basic units of proteins. They are essential for the proper functioning and development of the body, as they participate in numerous biological functions.

Amino acids are obtained through food and are used by the body for protein synthesis, energy production, and regulation of metabolic processes.

Additionally, they play a crucial role in tissue repair and construction, nutrient transport, and cellular communication.
