Candida is a type of fungus that commonly lives in the mucous membranes of the body — such as the intestines, vaginal walls, and the mouth. It's not exclusive to women; men can also carry and be affected by Candida overgrowth.
Under certain conditions, Candida can grow excessively, triggering a wide range of symptoms that negatively impact your health.
Answer “yes” or “no” to the following questions to see if Candida might be affecting you:
- Have you taken antibiotics repeatedly?
- Do you suffer from premenstrual syndrome, abdominal pain, menstrual problems, vaginitis, prostatitis, or loss of sexual desire?
- Are you sensitive or allergic to tobacco smoke, perfumes, or chemical odors?
- Do you frequently crave sweets, alcohol, or bread?
- Do you experience frequent digestive problems?
- Do you often feel depressed or fatigued?
- Do you suffer from hives or other skin allergies?
- Do you take birth control pills?
- Do you have headaches, muscle and joint pain, or poor coordination?
- Do you feel generally unwell without knowing the cause?
Results Interpretation
- If you answered "YES" to 3–4 questions: Candida is likely playing a role in your symptoms.
- If you answered "YES" to 5–7 questions: Candida is probably a primary cause of your symptoms.
- If you answered "YES" to 8 or more questions: Candida is certainly involved in your condition.
